1. Uttar Pradesh Govt to make Bundelkhand a hub of wildlife tourism.

started after approving the Ranipur Tiger Reserve in Chitrakoot, the process is going on regarding the Bear Reserve in Lalitpur. Preparations are on to build the biggest zoo in UP at Jhansi’s Garhmau.

2. RT-PCR test to be mandatory for passengers from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand & Singapore.

 All International passengers travelling from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand to India are hereby required to undergo mandatory RTPCR tests before departure, effective from 1st January 2023. The Test should have been conducted within 72 hours of undertaking the journey to India. Upload the Negative RTPCR report along with self-declaration form on Air Suvihda Portal.This is in additional to the random 2% tests for all international passengers on the arrival to India. 3. West Bengal’s first Vande Bharat Express was flagged off  by PM Modi.

Currently, 14 trains cover the 564 km distance between Howrah to New Jalpaiguri . The new train will cover the distance in 7:45 hours and save 3 hours. The train would depart from Howrah station at 6 am and reach New Jalpaiguri at 1.30 pm.

4. Goa Village inaugurated at Sunburn Festival 2022.

The Goa Village was inaugurated by Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, Goa and officially thrown open to a global audience attending the Sunburn Goa Festival at Vagator, Goa. This Goan Village’ was a long-standing dream of the Goa Govt to present the vast and vibrant heritage.

5. Hong Kong & china lifts all mandatory pcr test requirements for travelers.

The Hong Kong SAR & China Government has also lifted the Vaccine Pass which allowed access to specified premises and other measures starting today. Now only required to present negative results from PCR tests conducted within 48 hours or RAT tests within 24 hours before their flights.

6. Uttar Pradesh to have dedicated food street in every city.

These food streets will cater to a wide variety of food from different states and societies. The thought put by CM Adityanath Yogi behind the project is to introduce people to food from different states and they would know what to look for when they travel states like Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Kerala, Uttarakhand, etc.

7. ‘Amazing Thailand Countdown 2023’ concludes 2022 with 1.5 trillion Baht tourism revenue.

“Thailand’s total visitor arrivals for 2022 is expected to reach 11.5 million arrivals by the end of the year. The return of foreign tourists together with domestic tourism recovery – and tourism stímulus campaigns – helps generate 1.5 trillion in total tourism rthe pre-pandemic level seen in 2019.”- Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor.
