Itenary
Day 1: Bagdogra Airport /NJP Railway station– Darjeeling (Approx. 3 hrs.)
On arrival at NJP Railway station / IXB Airport transfer to Darjeeling ( 2123 meters / 70001 feet lies the land of breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest is the Queen of the hills. On arrival check into hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 02: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early Morning (at 03.45 am) visit to Tiger hill (8,400 ft.) to watch sunrise Mt. Khangchendzongha (3rd highest peak) After breakfast visit Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park ( closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (closed on Sunday) Japanese Temple. Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 3: Darjeeling – Pelling (Approx. 5 Hrs.)
After breakfast drive to Pelling an altitude of 2,150 m (7,200 feet) and is a very small Himalayan village in West Sikkim. It offers a good sunrise and all day long view of Kanchendzonga and the entire Eastern Himalayan range. On arrival check into hotel. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 04: Pelling Sightseeing
After breakfast start sightseeing at Pelling covering Rimbi Waterfalls, Orrange Garden, Khecheopalri Lake, Kanchendzonga Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rundense Ruins , Helipad. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 05: Pelling – Gangtok (Approx 06 Hrs.)
After breakfast transfer to Gangtok. The capital of Sikkim Suits all from tranquillity to adventure, land of monastery, mystic rituals & festivals at an height of 1670 meters / 5480 feet). On arrival Check-in and own activity. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 06: Gangtok – Lachen (Approx 6 Hrs)
Early morning after breakfast Drive 135 kilometers, Chungthang is 96 kilometers from Gangtok. After Lunch at Chungthang drive to Lachen is 35 kilometers from Chungthang. Reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening. Lachen is famous for snow capped peaks, the Shingbha wildlife sanctuary, Gurudongmar Lake, Chopta Valley, Thangu. It’s a valley surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow Peak Mountains and the starting point of Green Lake Trek. In fact the village cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards. Check into a hotel. Evening free to stroll and visit the Lepcha Village. Overnight stay at Lachen.
Day 07: Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake and Transfer to Lachung (Approx. 6 Hrs)
Early morning after breakfast Visit to Gurudongmar Lake 55 kilometers, 3 hours drive – Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world, located at an altitude of 17,100 ft (5,210 m). It lies in the district of North Sikkim in the state of Sikkim in India, only some 5 kilometers (3.1 mi) south of Chinese border. Generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake. Next drive through the cold desert till Tibet / China back to Resort for Lunch. After lunch drive to Lachung. The region is fully covered with Rhododendron forest with Chopta Valley and Thangu are the other places of interest. Back to hotel for lunch. After lunch proceed to Lachung nearly 50 kilometers and 2.5 hours drive. Check into hotel at Lachung. Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery. Overnight stay at Hotel at Lachung.
Day 08: Excursion to Yumthang Valley – Transfer to Gangtok (Approx. 5 Hrs)
After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet – On the way you may visit the famous hot spring which is known for its curative properties of skin diseases – Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends – In spring the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow covered valley except in autumn. Return to hotel for lunch. After lunch transfer to Gangtok. On arrival at Gangtok check into hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 09: Gangtok – Kalimpong half day sightseeing (Approx. 3 Hrs.)
After breakfast transfer to Kalimpong. Located at an average elevation of 1,250 metres (4,101 ft) & a scenic backdrop of the Himalayan Mountains with their snow-covered peaks and lush green surroundings. On arrival check into hotel. After freshen up start half day sightseeing at Kalimpong covering Durpin Dara Hill, Morgan House, Flower Nursery, Tagore House, Deolo Hill. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
Day 10: Kalimpong – Bagdogra Airport /NJP Railway station
After breakfast transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) Airport for your onwards journey.
