1. IndiGo announces six new direct routes between India and Middle East.

The newly introduced routes include Bengaluru- Dubai, Kochi-Bahrain, Lucknow-Dammam commencing from June oi and Ahmedabad-Jeddah, effective from August 11, 2023. The airline has also announced seasonal additional flights between Chennai-Dammam and Kochi-Dammam in view of the high demand for travel to the Middle East from India during the summer season.

Francis Gichaba, Chairperson, Kenya Tourism Board, said the country will align its marketing initiatives to achieve the goal gradually by 2027. He said that in the first two months of 2023, Kenya registered 293,440 international tourist arrivals, up from 184,228 recorded in Jan-Feb 2022.
