1. PM Modi inaugurates 2nd International Airport in Goa.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that the airport will be named after former Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar. The new airport was built to increase air connectivity and tourism in the coastal state.

4. British Airways restarts third daily flight from Mumbai to London.

British Airways has announced the resumption of its third daily flight, BA134 from Mumbai to London Heathrow. The airline has deployed an Airbus A350 aircraft for this flight. With this new flight, the frequency will increase to a weekly total of 56 flights.

7. Hong Kong opens up gym or restaurant, permits immediate access to international visitors.

Hong Kong’s government also scrapped a mandatory Covid-19 mobile application which was used for people to check in at most venues from gyms and beauty salons to offices. People will still need to show a photograph or paper record of their Covid-19 vaccines at some venues which require it, the government said.
